Titanium anodes coated with mixed metal oxides (MMO), often sold as DSA anodes, carry ruthenium, iridium and tantalum in their coating. When an anode reaches the end of its service life, that coating still holds recoverable precious metal, and the titanium underneath keeps its own scrap value.
TiHarbor buys spent and surplus anodes from chlor-alkali plants, electroplating lines, water treatment systems and cathodic protection projects. We take complete electrolyser anode sets as well as loose pieces, and we also buy off-cuts and surplus stock from anode manufacturers.
